Visual Exposé of CapitalismThis is a visual exposé of capitalism. BladeoftheSun on Bluesky often posts helpful images and insights on exposing capitalism and billionaires. I have categorised the images, but be aware that the categories overlap.
Accurate Names ![]() "Wealthy" = "Predator Class"
Some even suggest they are the "Paedophile Class" (e.g. the Epstein files) ![]() "Billionaires" = "Robber Barons"
![]() "Economic growth" = mass transfer of wealth to the rich & planetary destruction
Deflection = Distraction ![]() Billionaires copy Hitler and blame immigrants and the disabled for no money
![]() The billionaire media gets us to obsess over imaginary immigrant crime
so that the massive crimes of billionaires is ignored ![]() Billionaires blame immigrants so you don't blame them
![]() Billionaire deflection poster used at a protest
![]() The billionaire media says hate everyone except them, who are causing all the problems
![]() The real enemy comes by limousine, not boat [a UK and EU immigration reference]
![]() A stop sign that says stop blaming the poor, start blaming the profiteering rich
![]() A Climate Dad quote that says that not only is capitalism causing ecocide, it also keeps us
so busy and distracted that we are not aware of how rotten is capitalism (Graphic may be by Sophie Gabrielle; fair use, educational) Deflection by Cookies The original image comes first. It shows Rupert Murdoch telling a white-skinned worker to be careful of the immigrant or dark-skinned, skint man across the table. Because the latter might take the worker's only cookie. Meanwhile, Murdoch's plate is piled with cookies. This is a master class exposé on media propaganda, greed, evil, deflection, distraction, racism, xenophobia, police brutality, oligarchy, authoritarianism. ![]() Billionaire Rupert Murdoch deflecting attention away from billionaires and capitalism
![]() 1982 vs. 2025 - nothing has changed except Murdoch's pile of cookies is huge
![]() Still no change, except now Murdoch's hoard fills the room
![]() Now, Murdoch's hoard is vast and he protects it with police, and he tells the worker that he is behind
on his weekly payments for his cookie, and there is a TV programme on cookie propaganda Delusion ![]() Joey answers Phoebe (from the sitcom Friends).
He realises the rich are to blame for specific problems. But the reason it's all so shit is because of immigrants. ![]() Give billionaires even more power and capitalism will work gooder
![]() An image from Star Wars, where Luke has to explain to Kylo Ren that capitalism/greed is not natural
![]() A CEO reclining and explaining to a hard-working cleaner that the reason he earns so much is
because his work is so demanding (Max Gustafson; fair use, educational) ![]() In the future, a businessman explains to a skeleton on a wasteland of pollution to hang in there,
as the free market will sort everything out (Max Gustafson; fair use, educational) ![]() A cartoon of three peasants working hard on the land. They believe they have to work harder.
It has nothing to do with the greed of the nobles. Evil ![]() The world is ruled by a small group of hyper-wealthy psychopaths
![]() Prof
Bill McGuire says we are not in the Anthropocene age, but rather
the Capitalocene age. He identifies the political-economic system that
is capitalism as the issue. This is an age driven by greed, short-term
profit and a complete disregard for everything else. (Graphic by Sophie Gabrielle; fair use, educational)
![]() Jesus
says: to the sick, get insurance; to the stranger, are you her
legally?; to the hungry, my taxes better not be paying for your loaves
and fishes; to the poor, it's your own fault.
This is a corruption of Jesus and Christianity that many modern Christians practise (e.g. USA). ![]() "There
is nothing the remotest bit natural about capitalism. The bees are not
stockpiling honey to sell at a profit. The trees are not charging the
bees to build their hive. The soil is not leasing itself to the
flowers. The sun is not sending bills to them all. None of these beings
are trying to seek some kind of predatory advantage from the next. They
are merely supporting one another. That is their nature."
![]() Robert
Reich talks of how the billionaire class are ready to withdraw into
their "isolated, sanitized survival chambers" at the onset of any
catastrophe. They don't care at all about people and their plight.
(Graphic by Sophie Gabrielle; fair use, educational) ![]() "Under capitalism, food isn't produced to feed people, it's produced to make a profit.
When it's not profitable to feed people, we let them starve. Even when our labor has conquered scarcity, capitalism must manufacture it in order to maximize profits." PWP wants to add that scarcity never needed to be conquered. Tribal peoples knew/know how to use their surroundings as abundant supermarkets. PWP says that capitalism has created scarcity, for profit, power. ![]() Noam Chomsky
says: "I don't know what word in the English language - I can't find
one - applies to people who are willing to sacrifice the literal
existence of organized human life so they can put a few more dollars
into highly stuffed pockets. The word 'evil' doesn't begin to approach
it."
Exploitation ![]() Billionaires will exploit you mercilessly. Outrageous greed is the only problem.
![]() Your taxes become government spending. A few drops of this money goes to public services,
whilst a permanent and plenteous flow of it is for the billionaires. ![]() Trickle-down economics
is economic policy that is supposed to benefit everyone but only
benefits a few. Here, it is made clear that it has also turned the
working class into the working poor.
(The Left Bible; fair use, educational) ![]() 1892 cartoon shows a businessman crushing a worker between the millstones of low wages and high rent
![]() A rich boy is able to reach a juicy fruit on a tree by standing on the back of a poor boy.
The rich boy then perches himself on an adjacent wall and eats all the fruit himself. Housing ![]() Refugees didn't take away affordable housing. Rich landlords and greedy politicians did.
![]() 1892 cartoon shows a businessman crushing a worker between the millstones of low wages and high rent
How the System Works ![]() Your taxes become government spending. A few drops of this money goes to public services,
whilst a permanent and plenteous flow of it is for the billionaires. ![]() Trickle-down economics
is economic policy that is supposed to benefit everyone but only
benefits a few. Here all the wealth generated is shown going to the
offshore accounts of the superrich and big business.
![]() A joke about trickle-down economics (see previous image), but 99% of us won't get it
![]() A graphic showing how many large companies are owned by BlackRock
![]() How to make a public company great exposes the corruption of large corporations
(Gado, 2016; fair use, educational) ![]() A graphic on how different countries tax billionaires. Apparently the US has never heard of it.
Jobs ![]() Then and now - Billionaire Wealth (vast increase) vs. USA Minimum Wage (the same)
![]() 1892 cartoon shows a businessman crushing a worker between the millstones of low wages and high rent
![]() Lisa Simpson from The Simpsons exposes the myth that billionaires won't create jobs if we tax them
(Melanie D'Arrigo; fair use, educational) ![]() Somehow an immigrant lazily collects all the welfare but also somehow takes all the jobs.
This is the absurd suggestion of the right wing and the rich. [Schrödinger's cat is a quantum physics thought experiment that absurdly suggests a cat in a box is both alive and dead, until the box is opened, when one or the other happens.] Materialism ![]() A couple and others look on at a fire-devastated landscape.
"Everything is fine. Keep shopping." (Extinction Rebellion; fair use, educational)
![]() Overconsumption
is out of control. A bar chart that shows that in just six years of the
21st century we have consumed over 75% of what we consumed in the
entire 100 years of the 20th century.
![]() Happy 'Make your kids into greedy little materialistic consumption addicts' Day!
(The Wichita Eagle; fair use, educational) Social Welfare (Benefits) ![]() Greedy are the problem, not the needy
![]() A person exposes the mad difference between people getting angry about a person getting benefits
(£800 a month) vs. a billionaire who doesn't pay his tax (£500 million a year) ![]() Somehow an immigrant lazily collects all the welfare but also somehow takes all the jobs.
This is the absurd suggestion of the right wing and the rich. [Schrödinger's cat is a quantum physics thought experiment that absurdly suggests a cat in a box is both alive and dead, until the box is opened, when one or the other happens.] Truth ![]() Stop stamping down on the immigrants, disabled, poor, elderly.
It's time to stamp down on the billionaires. ![]() Possible causes of your problems. Yes = public services underfunded, big companies not taxed,
wealth inequality. No = refugees. (Dave Walker; fair use, educational) ![]() The corrupt government is run by corrupt billionaires
![]() Climate Dad says to keep the world habitable is to do the opposite of what keeps the economy working. We need a new economy, equitable, that protects nature. (Graphic by Sophie Gabrielle; fair use, educational)
![]() Greta Thunberg's goal is to overthrow the capitalist system (UnHerd; fair use, educational)
