Travel to Mars or the Sun? The threat: supernovae, asteroids, nuclear war, climate and ecological disaster. An answer: Obi-Wan Kenobi or similar guru, politician, billionaire or world saviour? This is our most desperate hour, but stop looking to fallible humans. This is not Star Wars. The answer: go to Mars? Apparently, humanity's only realistic hope is Mars. Or similar. So says Big Science. For example, Stephen Hawking for decades called for humans to permanently settle other planets. So says Big Tech/Big Money. For example, Elon Musk in 2013: "Either we spread Earth to other planets, or we risk going extinct. An extinction event is inevitable and we're increasingly doing ourselves in." A better answer: care for the Earth. Even if it may be too late for this, as the imminent climate and ecological disaster will be so apocalyptic. However, if we cannot look after the Earth, we have no chance on another planet. It will require massive changes in the political and financial systems and how we view Nature and Spirit:- Spiritual eco-socialism. A new money system. A world where we recognise that Nature knows best, as per Barry Commoner's third law of ecology: Nature knows best. Humankind has fashioned technology to improve upon nature, but such change in a natural system is, says Commoner, "likely to be detrimental to that system". A culture of Love. A solar culture. Even if humanity is extinguished, this effort or training will be valuable if Nature somehow reincarnates us on Earth in a few million years or elsewhere. Perhaps we will do better then? In any event, we may be going extinct here this century. So... A final answer: merge with the Sun? Mars travel is surely the opposite direction of the travel we need to undertake? A U-turn is required? Emigrate to the Sun? The Sun is the Way, surely? This is our only hope. Here are three quotes by O.M. Aïvanhov:- "…there is no freedom in being separate from God. We can go there with our soul and spirit, our thoughts and our love." (O.M. Aïvanhov, paraphrased from Izvor 239 Love Greater Than Faith, Chapter Seven, pp.139-140) "We are on earth for a reason, or the Lords of Destiny would have sent us elsewhere. There are plenty of places in the universe for a pleasant vacation. The best place to go, in fact, is the sun. You will say, ‘The sun? But we will be burned!’ Yes, of course, if you go there in your physical body, but who said that you must do that? The physical body is adapted to life on earth. In order to go to other planets or to the sun, you have other bodies, other vehicles. There are different forms of life in the universe which correspond to different aspects of matter and, although we cannot go to the sun in our physical body, we can at least go there with our soul and our spirit." (O.M. Aïvanhov) So, the future is not Mars. We need to look after the Earth and merge with the Sun. We need to exercise spiritual and moral virtues. We need to develop spiritual faculties, hidden spiritual technologies within us. Outer tech is not the Way. Inner tech is the Way. So we can travel to the Sun. The future is Earth and the Sun. The now is Earth and the Sun. Honour Earth and Heaven!!
